Nordic Championship 2022

Training

Before the competition there is a possibility to rent a training field already on November Wed 23rd or Thu 24th (during daytime 8-17). Size of the field is 20 x 30 m and the price is 25 € / hour. You can book the slot by contacting via email (address in the end of this page).

During Friday, Nov 25th there is official training for the Teams:

  • 10.00 – 12.00 Finland, field 1
  • 10.00 – 12.00 Sweden, field 4
  • 11.00 – 13.00 Norway, field 2
  • 11.00 – 13.00 Denmark, field 3

Using treats in the venue

Handlers can use treats in training, but they need to be sure that no treats are left to the grass. So please use only decent size of treats which are visible and easy to notice. Do not use any crumbling treats.

During the competition days no treats are allowed in the competition ring area (not even during opening or awards ceremonies, when toys are allowed).

 

Veterinary check

Veterinary check will take place at the venue on Friday, one team at the time. The location is marked to the training layout.

Please bring dog’s pedigree (including microchip number) and vaccination passport with you to the check. The microchip will be read and vaccinations checked.

The Vet will be making general inspection, be prepared that dogs might be checked on table. Also dog’s condition will be checked by running (in case of possible limping etc).

During the inspection the Vet may assist with administering worming tablets, produce certificates and so on. Please don’t forget to bring your own worming tablets!

During the competition there will not be a vet in place at the venue, but 24h animal hospital is located near by (about 15 min drive). Phone: +358 600 12 444.

 

Bitch in season

Please inform the organizer as soon as you are aware that you will be bringing bring a bitch in season. Don’t bring the bitch inside to the venue before given instructions where to place it.

 

Flags & national anthem

All teams are kindly asked to bring a National Flag with them. National anthems are asked to be provided beforehand as a Spotify link or on Friday on a USB memory stick.
